disabling netware

Back in the days of high school, our school had netware 3.0.........well, during CAD class, we got bored real fast so we brought in our own games to play. But no thankx to the sys admin, we couldn't install them so what we did was power down the comp, unplug the nic from the network, and started the comp backup. No login screen or anything.....Not sure it would work for your version of netware, but you never know.........who knows how tightly they have it all locked down......however, be carefull that the services you find on the comps/network are the actual services and not someone running a SSH server on port 80.
