That's great.
If I was rich, I would run a whole room full of those processors :-o, that'll kick ass. But at 16, I'm happy w/a computer that works :)
That would be over kill to fill a room with them I could think of better things to do with that money such as Take a nice vacation :D
with a room full of processors ;) In all seriousness, that looks awsome. I can not wait until they are availible to the public at under $1k a pop, or the black market price is under $1k a pop. Sooooo sweet, fast!Quote:

Normal everyday software wouldn't take advantage of all that processing power and for a average home user it would probably be a waste unless you were editing video, or needed a render farm if you were making CGI scenes
Take for granted that I can't afford the latest hardware, but nothing is fast enough for video editing. The worst is when you crash during the last couple moments of a long render.
Crashes are either very rare or never happen at all when running linux :D
I do run linux, but have yet to try it for video editing, do you know any good software for such a thing. Currently I use Final Cut Pro 3 on a Mac. For DVD creation I use DVD Studio Pro 1.5.
Any good ideas on replacement of any of this would be welcomed as building a Linux PC is much cheaper then upgrading my Mac.
thanks
