As I read what GrApHiCTrOn was saying, concisely, is that many newbies come here and start posting without having read the FAQs. Which is probably true, and a valid and important point.
Every site has its own issues, which show clearly whether people have read the FAQ's Hacker questions happen to be this sites issue. But the problem is the same - newbies should read the FAQ's. Twice. And then again.

I was under the impression that AO was on the darker side of things at its inception? And changed course after some unsavoury events.

There should be an AntiTest that should be taken before and after you sign in. Thabks all of the members that participated in this thread. I really apreciate and respect your opinion. :)
Have a nice day

Yes..over the years AO has went from accepting the somewhat blackhat days to the 98% white hat environment that it has become today. (not meant to sound like that...but I do prefer the middle ground/gray hat) It's a different community w/different values nowadays.
Also, google does not search using META tags anymore, they are worthless nowadays, you'd be hard pressed to find more than one search engine (since I know of one =P) that still uses them. They are too easily abused, just as JP did w/this site.
