That is true about WWI but it was pretty much a boring war. Many died and suffered but it was stalemated for year with trenches and neither side doing anything but taking pot shots. Hitler and the Nazi party are identifiable enemies to most of the planet. That war was filled with technology advances and intrigue, with secret organizations and battles on all fronts. It was romantic in a sense of adventure. Axis vs. Allied - Wolf Packs - B52 - Luftwaffe - French Resistance - Pearl Harbor - Fat Man, Little Boy - Flying Wing - Radar - X:fighters - Enigma - U Boats - Auschwitz - Ann Frank - Ann Bolin and Adolph - Winston Churchill, the Battle of Britain where they fought for their very existence against a Nazi Occupied and controlled main land – The Empire of Japan – Patton – McArthur – Douglas – Leningrad – Stalin – Death Camps – Hirohito – Kamikaze – Mustang – Enola Gay – Hiroshima -- that list goes on. It's quite an amazing and romantic time as it is tragic. All those lives, it is said that something like 1 in every 4 Americans knew someone directly who died in the war. We were allied in a single cause because life and survival depended on it.

Oh well, I was over at Deimos's house and we were playing Rainbow Six 3 (xbox) and i thought to my self the same thing. the intro is very rude towards the Special Forces. it was a bagn up job that they did instead of a completly strategic and quite mission. they just busted thourgh the ceiling and started Capping the hell out of the terorists. Any body can go into a terrorist held bank with a machine gun and kill alot of terrorists holding it for a ransome. :3pow:
I think they just do it to make Money for themselves. No doubt that Ubi Soft is a candian run organaztion. I think in their commercial for Rainbow Six 3 they shougn't have had allittle girl singing a national patriot song. that discourages other cultural gamers to not want to play a game.

WWI was, truthfully, far more violent than the second one, but I agree that the latter allows for more... dramatic adventures to be devised for a game.
As for RS3 and Ubi Soft... let's not forget Canada's pretty much a multi-cultural land in itself, so the last thing anybody here wants is to 'scare' other cultures off. I haven't seen the commercial, so I won't judge.
Oh, and the place of the terrorist is always seen in the light of the freedom fighter. Rainbow may be a terrorist-fighting organization, but that means most other Commando groups [offensive] are terrorist factions. In the end, it's all rules of engagement and war... and war's got no rules, pretty much. So the label of terrorism is too subjective [I know it's very off-topic]

I am in total agreement i was just pointing that out

i think world war two was the most interesting war to learn about out of the two world wars, both were devistating in terms of soliders getting killed and just "war" in general
