I wasn't good enough for subs. I did a tour on a heavy cruiser and then a tender.
Got skin rashes though.
My brother was a "bubblehead". The favorite joke for newbs there was when they were cruising submerged , they would tie a guy across the forward torpedo room, one arm to each wall. Then when they surfaced and the boat expanded 14 inches...
