Not really sure...the beer manufacturers all advertise their carb contents because of the fads in low-carb diets (atkins); however, you don't typically see that information about the hard liqours. So the gist is, I don't know what would be better. What I have done is switch to drinking less, and instead of always drinking beer, will sometimes do jack and cokes. You get the same effect but drink less...(be really careful the first few times, I found that I was drinking at the pace I was used to with beers...translation, got schloppy :) )...
Not sure if that helps or not, but the booze will kill you as far as trying to lose weight unfortunately...
