I agree that some states probably have stricter laws, I am just making a correlation that in a very conservative state, the laws for marijuana or pretty lax, so my thinking is in a liberal state, they could be even more lax? Maybe not but I am always in agreement that drug related laws far outweigh the crime. A bag of green in the car could get the same sentence as an assault. Not cool, but just smoking a joint on a park bench carries no sentence here.
Hmm...and if you were where I am smoking that same joint, you would be charged with a class D felony (or E, I can't remember)...but there is no differentiation between a pinch and 2 ounces. I guess you would call that conservative...
Where I'm at a few joints'll just land you in jail for a night or two, but if you have more than a quarter oz. and a pack a cigarettes the d1ckhead cops'll pull the wrapper off your pack of cigarettes, call it a baggie and give you intent to distribute. . .gone for six. . .
