ok, yet again, i've never used that app b4 and i honestly don't give a crap. just figured i'd post the IPs incase anyone wanted to mess with em.
Sounds like malicious intent to me.Quote:

I've moved this post since it seems to have very little to do with security and a lot to do with breaking the law. I strong suggest that going after someone because you think they have attacked you is not a good idea.
If ZA is reporting that these people are trying to access ports... guess what? It's doing it's job as a firewall. Unless they have gone into the machine and actually altered something they haven't done anything wrong. In addition, as was pointed out in earlier posts it's very likely it could be a false positive (thinks it's an attack when it isn't). It could also be a worm attempting to propogate itself. This happens quite a bit thanks to left-overs of Code Red and a few other worms.
By posting their IPs you have assumed them guilty before even proving it. Did you contact AOL and ask them to deal with this? Send them the logs and let them deny the user internet access? I did it once. Very successfully enough to get the user blackballed by about 90% of the local ISPs (this was back in 1994).
Put some thought into this. Let me close by asking you this: what if they are "revenge" attacking you because they thought your gf's machine had attacked them?
BTW, attacking someone to break into their machine and "**** them up" isn't hacking. That's breaking and entering. Period.
I'm closing this MsMittens, I think his intentions are clear.
