Damn neo-liberal agenda, oh and liberalism is not a left wing view its purely middle ground, I wouldnt even give it soft left. Republicanism is obviously to the right or is right dont live in the US cant say.

IIn Irish schools we are thought from our history books to be nationalist, to hate the British occupiers for 800 years of oppression and it does fuel the sentiment that exists to this day, just visit an Irish bar and hear the Rebel songs sung by middle class Catholics etc.

Luckily I escaped all that nationalist bullshit and became an internationalist a long time ago, thank feck.

Sorry, meant to say administrators. In our school distrcit, the day the new school budget was rejected by voters, our superitendent got an 11% raise. I don't know where that money is going, but I'll bet it won't be for pencils for every student. More like his private porsche-fund :D Still, teachers like the liberals because they want to give the school more money, which translates into a little more money for them to use on flash cards. That's all fine and dandy, but whenever here is a budget raise, most does not go to the teachers but to the administrators, who waste it remodelling their offices. But because the teachers like having the extra flash card money and don't care where our taxes go, they press their liberal views on the students, who will soon be a whole new group of voters to get them their flash cards.

This is just my way of seeing things from the eveidence gathered about my own school district. Maybe teachers just like screwing with our heads, which is why they present biased lessons. But in my school definitely and apparently Deimos326's school, teachers do bend the lesson plan to the left, and it's not a good thing.

TheRepublican: I have t oagree with you on this one, the administrators are paid way too much for what they do, but I would say that about CEO's and most "charity" heads. The disparagy in pay between the top and the middel in this country is disgusting. No School admin should be makeing 6 figures when the teachers have to supply their classroom with books and basic supplies.

Yeah, but the problem here is that they are paying the administrators with our tax dollars. So, they basically sit around all day finding new ways to blow our taxes, while getting paid from our taxs for doing so. CEOs, yeah, they are paid too much, but that's a company, not a government-funded program like our public schools. As for charitys, I definitely agree and have three words to say on the matter: Reverend Jesse Jackson. :D

Well saying that you could also make a case for lots of government waste. Why do Congresspeople make so much money? Why do they retire and still recieve most of that money? I feel that is blowing my taxes away to pay these guys over $200,000 a year when they are probably already getting kickbacks from companies and organizations that support them.

yes i can. Hey Deimos is that the North Carolina SS book or not? I have many problems with the way our School ditricty is pushing these Biased acts upon our childish dreaming minds. THIS IS NOT RIGHT

TheRepublican and CXGJarrod you are starting ot see the point, the congressmen, the charity heads (why was the head of the red cross makeing mid to high 6 digits?), the CEO's are all the same guys...the school admins in a lot of towns also fall into that catagory...you solve the discrepancy in pay between the managers and the workers (or hell the managers and the middel managers) and you can solve a lot of the problems with this country....Republican If we loward taxes or hell went to private schooling do you think the school administrators would get payed any less, or would the cuts come out of the teachers, janators, and programs?

Ok then name the book, with publisher and page number to find these quotes....I seriously doubt it, especialy in an area with a very conservative school board like the Carolina's.

Congresspeople: Should we raise our salary or lower it?
ALL: Raise it! We need new mansions and yachts.

Anyone who is in a position of power (like Congress) is not going to lower their pay voluntarily.

Also, please name the textbook. I have never seen a major company (who is in the business of making textbooks) come out with something that biased.
