Maybe the OLD media. Today's media doesn't have the balls to confront real issues. They essentially report what they're told to report and ignore the real issues.
Aside from that, even if the honest truth were reported, the American public likes to live in denial. The information is out there in most cases, but most people ignore it and just go about their la-la land days.
The Enquirer sells more than the Wall Street Journal because people are more interested in whether Ben is fu*king J Lo than they are in whether or not the U.S. government fabricated evidence to predicate an unnecessary war. They would rather know who won the Grammy for best new artist than whether or not the U.S. government actually has a plan to fix the economy.
It would be nice if people cared and acted- but most won't and don't.

I agree about the media. It seems like in order to find any information concerning what is really happening in the world, you have to go to sources outside the United States?

That's always the problem with posts like the one I deleted... if I don't delete it, there's a risk that the thread it is in goes suicidal (and moderators can't re-open threads that have been closed by the system). If I do delete it, there's no way the ap-system can ban the user...
