Make sure that the correct Workgroup is selected also, sometimes XP kicks you down to a Domain in the settings....right click My Computer>Properties>Computer Name>Change. Be sure Workgroup is selected with the proper name. Also, go to properties in Local Area Connection in My Network Places and verify that the TCP/IP settings for the correct (Wireless) connection are set....Obtain Ip Addy Automatically, etc.). XP is buggy with that **** and if you are using the Microsoft Broadband Wireless Utility, dump it or reconfigure it and verify the correct settings on connect (sometimes they will change). Good Luck.
