Sort of. About 5-6 people joined. Their hosting ISP, cometstream.com, has limitations on their service (max of 100 Mega bites). That pretty much did them in.
What I also found funny was looking at what cometstream.com offered. Apparently you're not allowed to have pr0n on their servers but if you want a pr0n site, you can go to their sister site of cometporn.com .. just made me laugh.

Thats just to damn funny seeing this "hacking" community down cause they exceeded their bandwith limit. lol
they banned me :(
they didn't just delete my account or block my ip as killing my connection and reconnecting (am on adsl with a dynamic ip) did not fix it
had just set up proxy when they exceded bandwith - they also deleted a bunch of my posts before banning me
guess some of my comments struck a nerve ;)

I agree this will put off new members.
Does it make the slightest bit of difference what they are saying., what they are doing or what they are threatening.
Ignore them and they'll go away - Just nerds with no sense of moraility, truth or maturity.

P.S. I don't get your problem, Steve - this guy openly threatened our site, and clearly doesn't have the skills to do it - in fact, the entire site combined (minus the true AO'ers there) doesn't have the skill to put a dent in JP's security. "Tech" even insults AO in his signature - surely we have the right to poke a little fun back? Or are you suggesting that we all act like snobs?
