I talked to my friend yesterday and he said that he got the OS running fine now, didn't have time to find out how, but the interenet explorer is still providing problems, when he tried to reinstall it he gets a prompt saying that his software doesn't have a microsoft digital signature, but he just bought this computer from ibuypower.com and they provided the explorer and OS software :(
