I am under the impression that Aristide has fallen into disfavour, the imf and usa has cut aid to haiti until several elections were fufilled, so the opposition held out saying that the time was not right again and again , therefore putting the country into big trouble money wise and fermenting a coup. It seems the Haitian people have gotten screwed time and time again no matter what they do. :(
