This is very interesting. Now I may be old fashion, but I want to see this ****er burn. All politics aside. I'm talking revenge. This guy needs to get his. And I believe he will. I think if he was captured, it would be wise for GW to hold the announcment till october.. but thats politics. I have a policy, that many might not agree with, but i will share it.
When the planes hit the buildings, the bombs hit the sand.
Its not politics, its simple revenge. We should be entitled to that. Who says we have to be perfect, who says we have to be so "holy"? You mess with a sleeping dragon, your going to get burned. Thats my 2 cents...

When he is caught, he will not die a silent death. The war needs closure and meaning. His capture and death will be publicized as much or more than Saddam and his sons. That way Osama won't be roomates with 2pac, Elvis, Hitler, and Carmen Sandiego.
Carmen....
That friggin bitch.

Personal take:
Bin Laden is a warrior who has no issue facing his god and the divine place in heaven he has waiting for him. He is a warrior who has never seen the gold palaces and complacent life of his muslim counterparts. Well let me take that back, it was born into an almost royalty like status but has long left that life style to a life of almost constant guerilla warfare. He will not be taken alive unless an intricate plan of deception can be established by counter intelligence on the side of western forces. The likely hood that will happen is slim. Not only is he a warrior but a leader and to ensure his legacy continues he will either die fighting to his last breath or martyr himself in the desire need of the cause. Speculation and opinion only. His opposition will have to be extremely crafty to pull off a capture.
//edit By the way, rumors of his capture have been circulating for a few weeks now, American soldiers were never great at keeping secrets. So if it was pulled off and they did get him, I would use him as a tool to root out other high level positions or locate cells cut off from his command structure. We know it has been severely damaged and when not meeting face to face, it would be easy to act the part and recreate a fake cell. I would not place him on public display.

One bit not mentioned is that bin laden has been nothing but a figure head in alquida for a long time, his top lutenint (hows name slips my mind any help road closed?) has been running day to day for years now. Not announcing his capture dosn't realy acomplishany thing from a stratagy point of view (you could release false orders from him if he was still in charge). Now I have no love for our current administration but i don't underestamate them so much as to think they would try a stunt like this to gain the election, it would be found out and they would be screwed...the american public may be slow but they are not that slow.

Some have been captured. Mullah Omar was his top man in Afgan, perhaps he is still at his side after fleeing Afganistan where he was Ameer-ul-Mumineen of the Taliban Afganistan empire. As to his top aid now? There are a few that keep appearing: Ayman al-Zawahiri seems to be it.
Even though he is a figure head, that still means he represents the cause of Al Q. and like other figure heads, his capture or death will have great impact.

A good or bad effect, remember that killing him mihgt elevate him to the level of martyrdom, and that could make his people fight even harder
(what would the christians think if christ had died of old age)

RoadClosed: we jsut have t obe carfull as to what that result is...IMHO we would be better served by quietly dealing with the true heads of al-quidia then nocking off the figure head for political gain.

Well, in my opinion I don't think they captured him. Because if this were true, all news stations would do some research on this rumor and find out weather it was true or not. And also, just a few days a go I saw on the news that the US bought the satelite that was over Afganistan to be able to use their new remote control aircrafts more efficently. These aircrafts can see 50,000 feet below sea level and is controlled by a remote control. I also heard some might carry missles. Also they are going to put something on the ground allowing the US to detect every person/car that passes by. Bush is going to end up making a bigger debt than his father (Goerge W. Bush Senior) did. Which may I remind you, was the biggest debt in history. I heard that the war in Iraq alone cost him about 25 billion USD. Imagine now with these new aircrafts.

Those aircraft aren't new, in fact they are old but are just now being made widely public and put to use in large scale. Some do carry missiles but those are expensive and their future is limited in my opinion. The coolest one is the Predator, she doesn't carry missiles but will see you hiding in a bush at midnight and paint the way for a ground lanched missile if necessary.
