Ok what that means is after the idiot you are doing whatever it is you are trying to do downloads the "SERVER" program they have to execute(run) it while you are running your "CLIENT" program.
Meaning you have 2 programs the "SERVER" (The program you have numb nuts download and run)
and "CLIENT" (The program you have running to send or recieve whatever you want from or to the "SERVER" program.)

Google Back orifice and maybe you will find something to answer your question if I didn't just so.


PS. Any anti virus or spyware program should pick Netbus or BO up so I don't think it will do you much good unless your friend is a complete idiot. But of course you're doing this for educational purposes. ;)
