No, it seems like I had to diss him to get him to say what i really wanted to hear from nihil in the first place. I didnt want to but damn.

Its not safe. I understand if they want to get you they can.
Im thinking (for example) if a group of people, me included, has are signal audited, taped, traced,etc. That I would be a waste of time due to my encypted protocols.
I was also looking for an alternative.

I am not aware of any society that supports anonymity in its constitution, written, or otherwise. The whole principle of a society is that individual members are ACCOUNTABLE for their actions? So the simple answer is "no", if you don't believe me, ask the IRS? :)

Yes and no :) People mislead themselves as to how proxies work? for example if I have:

ISP - ProxyA - ProxyB - End System.

The end system will not know who I am, nor my ISP, neither will ProxyB, BUT ProxyA will know who my ISP is, and they will know who I am. In other words it works in one direction only.

Now, you can use proxies in non-aligned, or even hostile countries.............please do not be so naive as to think that such traffic to such destinations is not being closely monitored. If your traffic is encrypted as well, you are just drawing more attention to yourself, and as several people have told you, NOTHING is safe on the internet.

But do remember that non-aligned and hostile countries will also monitor passing traffic, and have laws of their own.............break those, and they WILL co-operate!...............it would be a propaganda coup.

In relative terms you are safer in bulk traffic environments and by keeping moving. That is nature?.........think of herds of antelope and shoals of fish.

And I haven't even mentioned residual traces, forensics and the like.

As general speak yes, no one can hide everything.

But YES, we can hide some activities and clean all evidences to definitely avoid trace back.
As an example, we can attack other side trhu a DDoS attack with bot.net or even ip spoofing and broadcast ping.

P.S. (we is a figure of speeching, I DONT DO those such things)
