TurboCad is free, its not that bad....(honesy)
The demo for Rhino 3D is also good, but you can't save on it...
For stuff like this you really need Solidworks or another package that is similar, but unless your willing to fork out £12,000 its not really worth it to at spoiler and big wheels to a car...
I've always been told its £12,000 maybe thats just for the site liecense, but Its gonna be allot either way.

i2c,
You are looking at around £45k for openers, then maybe £15k per seat..............OK you get that down on negotiating the site licence................only x users have it at once and so on.
Then you have to buy the kit that they will support..................?
Then network it...............?
Last one I did was only a major upgrade (not a new systrem) and it came to about £350k for 950 seats (before anyone asks.........."Weapons of mass destruction" "
Nice to be able to spec £5k desktops though?
As project manager and #1support guy you get your own free copy :D
/me goes away to try to design a paper bag
A good boozing crony's son came around at about 01.00 hours.........little sister had used his machine and opened some e-mail she shouldn't  So we loaded my "racing machine" in the back of his car ( I was using a P4 2.26 and some fancy videocard that the guys sent me......it was about £800 (for the videocard) in those days!!!)
He had used the software at college..............I had the full kit, so he did his presentation and got the job!!!..................I was well pleased, as you can imagine.............
My point is that "good" CAD is bloody expensive
Cheers
