Heat is quite capable of making a machine reboot. And also, have you checked for Sasser? Or however you spell the new worm that reboots Windows? From what you've said, it's either heat or Sasser.

How do I check against Sasser. Everytime i search my HD my comp crashes. i.e - Spybot S&D, Virus Scanner, Trojan Scanner, etc.

Read the front page. I see about 3 threads on Sasser.

Hi,
Gore has a good point, heat could cause it to happen, but I would expect a shutdown, rather than a reboot?. Run it with the case off and a domestic fan blowing over it.
Can you boot into "safe mode"? if you can (F8 in XP) then run your anti spyware, adware and AV in that.
Another thing is to take whatever option to get into "set-up" then go into power management and turn it all off..........like no sleep, snooze or whatever.........machine on all the time. Then go into your Display manager and turn off the screensaver and any power saving options there
Try running Trend Micro's "housecall"......it's a free online AV scanner.
Let me know how you get on.
Cheers
