Just a little side note here specifically for yahoo mail. In order to use pop3 on yahoo, you need another 'type' of mail account there. The free mail account will not work with pop3 or any other kind other than yahoo web, or other yahoo software (not sure, maybe something like yahoo messenger etc...)
Cheers.

Let me ask this then, what would be the "best" email client for WinXP? Since Outlook (Microsoft and Express) are the most exploited ones...
-
Mozilla has a nice email client built in, I would also reccommend Eudora.
-
Mozilla Thunderbird is even better than the one built in with the regular mozilla. You can get both of them and decide for yourself at mozilla.org.
It's not as popular as the microsoft products, and it's open source, so there aren't as many exploits that are widely used if there even are any. I have yet to see a security patch for thunderbird or firefox.

I'm still trying out Eudora but I'm not enjoying it that much... things are a bit prolix there. I'm having a little trouble to configure all my accounts and mailboxes are quite annoying to manage. But as I said, I'm still giving it a try.

You could look a glance at YahooPops, a program which emulate a pop3/smtp server in order to let the email client of your choice access and use Yahoo Mail.

Here's a Neat website for checking any mail via web browser. All you need to know is your e-mail address and password. No complex setings required or funny checkboxes to set up....Nice!
