Being called a "hacker" is just insulting. Its so childish and to say that I've had assosiation with "those types" all this time... once agian it is just plain insulting. There is a difference between normal peaple who enjoy computers... as opposed to the so called, self proclaimed "hackers" out there that have merely been influenced into it all by other peaple includeing the media. I remember when I was a kid, playing with BASIC on a win3.1 or a 95. I use my computers because I feel like it. Because its my hobby and I enjoy it.

Then there are those who would do this just to look smart or cool... most of the time its just for the label itself, a dumb word known as hacker. This is all just to help peaple say that they've been appart of something or belonged to something. None of this has anything to do with computers though. Even you yourself have admitted that you joined here not only due to the social aspects but also in the hopes that this would somehow shape or label you into a more haha (truthfull) sense of some dumb word.

Funny thing is, I've seen that same nickname asking the exact same question on other forums,and he has gotten the same answer.... I don't think anyone has to worry if he keeps going to security forums to ask about hacking.

Actually, a firewall really helps. You just have to make sure that all outgoing traffic is blocked, and nobody will know. That's usually the way I do it and so far it has worked quite well. Nobody has been able to trace me...
