I know that, you know it and i am sure at least half the people here know it also. the thing that is unfortunate is his speech is aimed at the general public and not at the IT community. It is just typical scare tactics like the report that was sent to congress. It is an unfortunate truth that the general public and the politicians will really only see the possiable dangers.

Linux is somewhat of a bastard actually.


Linux is more of the grandfather of Linux now. THe Linux he created is nothing like today's Linux.

Want proof? Grab kernel 1.0. It'll be hard as hell to compile with any new version of gcc or whatever but I know it can be done. Oh yeah, make sure you run it on an old machine...
