AO Addict Status

That's why I said "more or less" active users ;)
There are a little over 55,000 users in the database, but there are a bunch of users with 0 posts, users that haven't posted in months (or even years), etc etc...
I'd say you're almost right...heh: I'm pretty sure there still are more active non-addict members than there are addicts.

It's all a matter of time, IMO... you could raise the Addicts-level to 500 posts, and in a couple of years (if not months), you'd have to raise it again. Eventually, every active poster on this board will become an Addict. And judging by all the "Yeah, I'm an Addict now!" posts, it's still something to look forward to...

Once you have Senior Status (400 posts) and 11 green dots, it's basically all over... LOL.
Unless you're aiming for the top-10 poster / top-10 AntiPoint list, of course... and that's an ever-changing list.
I guess what I mean is this: you could keep on raising all the requirements for the member levels (Junior, Senior,..), but what's the point?

The extra site benefit had something to do with "custom", "user" and "titles", btw.

I feel bad! With my 925 post, I'm probably in the top 100 of the poster here! I feel like post whore now...

SDK, if you go to User Memberlist and click Top25 Poster's you'll see. From each page on, is another 25 so by page four, your already a Top 100 poster. I think your on page two ;)

hell yeah! I'm the top 50 of the post whore! I'm 43 to be exact! I can believe MsMittens is allmost to 4K, she was at 3K like 3-4 months ago?

Edit : I just noticed that I'm in top 300 oldest member in AO and only pwaring and avdven are older me and have more post that me...

That mean I'm a freaking old post whore that nobody want to touch!

There aren't many members who have been around longer than me who still post. hogfly and avdven are the ones who spring to mind, plus JP obviously and a few others.

Hmm, could be a nice idea, but the fact that nothing is stopping people from posting the classic AOL kid way of replying to everything with "Me too!" I don't think raising the post count would do much. I'm kind of with the invite only idea. I don't really care if I was invited back, because if someone doesn't want me in there than I probably shouldn't be there in the first place right?

I would really like it if only security posts counted for posts. Now that would be nice! They do it for the Usenet stuff, how about the rest of the site besides what's on the front page? Again, I'm more than willing to sacrifice my post count for this idea.

As an example, this post I'm making here should not count for my post count. I'm not helping anyone, and I'm not trying to help anyone secure anything, why count it? I havn't earned it.
