who is "he" (he doesnt want his boss). Im lost. Or it is a social mmmppfff. dont come with straitjacket
ok, sorry about that confusion. We had a server down this am so I just got back...
Basicly, My boss's boss (the VP) was in charge of security before they hired me. He is hesitant to let me have access to everything because he is very controlling. My boss (he runs the network) is however trying to get me all the access i need. So he doesnt want to make an issue of it with his boss, therefore keeping it quite ;)
Let's see the VP says no access to the firewall for you but the boss is saying, too bad you get access anyway? lol. Good luck. Perhaps the VP is paranoid and just needs a little time to get to trust you. You realize if he finds out that trust will be lost forever. Perhaps you do indeed need access for operational needs. Just know the risks with pissing off VPs in charge of security. Did you view the access list yet?
Well, the VP doesnt really have much control he just likes to think he does. Everyone here seems to ignore him and do their own thing reguardless of what he says.
