G'day all, it seems to have been lost somewhere that innocent people
were killed in the thousands by these alleged criminals. What would you
have the American government do ? Ask nicely, say please, supply heating,
and tuk them in at night with a bed time story ? This is a war on terror, and
regardless of other motivating reasons for the war in Iraq, it was a haven for
certain extremists of the muslim faith and Sadam was an animal along with his
sons. The only thing i see as wrong by the Americans is the dumb ass idea of
letting these pictures out for the world to see, and might i add just how graphic
and disgraceful they are, not. What a joke, mild even light punishment looks like
to me. The only way the world is going to avoid all of this"our way or their way"
conflict is to hunt down the leaders of these groups and its followers and take them
out of the system. If this means torture and beatings to obtain the names of these
evil people then so be it, it has to be done.

If I were to begin a war on terror, the Whitehouse would be the first stop, followed by the CIA!

I still say declaring a "war on terror" is a huge mistake. By making that decalartion Bush gave the terrorist organisations a standing on the international front they never had. It sure sounds good and it gives the president of the USA a lot of power but it causes a lot of problems also. He should have maybe asked Tony blair why England never considered itself at war with the paramilitary organisations in northren Ireland.

Neither As I mentioned above it is more to do with the fact that it is much easier to deal with them if they are just criminals. If you declare war on a terrorist group you reconise them as a valid political entity. This allows them to use international law in their favor. It also give them more justification for their actions.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes but i am still at work since 8 this morning. Another 3 hours and I will be at 24 hrs.
