I guess I'm lucky in that my ISP gives you an option to pay extra money to have "home networking" service....if you don't go with that option you can still have a network, just no tech support for networking issues.
Please tell me you're not actually paying for that tech support bullshit....
THe way I see it, I'm renting a DSL line. Whatever I do with it, is my business. Whatever I connect it to is my business. Verizon can kiss my ass. I'll pay extra when they stop charging me $ .50 for all them little * things each time I use one.

I agree with your arguments. However i dont wanna to pass to everybody here that is a "legal" position. Some of your comments can lead newbies to take actions that be dangerous for them (but maybe not for you )

This is a very common clause around the world when talking about HOME connections. I have this on my contract HERE.
However i run a web server on my home networking and i can be acessed from Internet (banned by contract)
I can have my link disconnect and contract ended due to this. But i still try to hide this server (and im kinda a sucessfull on that job)
but its against of contract. period. it s not legal.
If you go to network connections and try to get to the properties of your Aol connection, you will find that you can not. So the answere is no.Quote:

I supose though if you new exactly how the aol software made the connection for you, the strange tunneling and loopback protocal they use. It maybe possible to set a connection up manualy.
But then that would be Hacking.
