i think GetDataBack is better :p
Any technical reason why?Quote:
i prefer products from dead Power Quest (now Symantec, as Ghost): Drive Image and Partition Magic.
Both has tons of features and work very well cross platform.
Although they belong to same company, Ghost is quite diferent from DI and PM. IMHO, DI/PM are better
well, it serves it's purpose well by recovering majority of my data back :DQuote:
not really technical ( but that is me making a comment on a technicality ;)) neway... if you are just going to rip everything off 1 hd and put it on another/bigger harddrive, i would just slave the hd and copy over what i want... granted this is a personal preferance, but i like to have a "clean" operating system every so often because i am convinced a fresh install of winxp runs faster than a 6 month old one... ;)
of course it runs faster, you don't have all those darn "updates" and "security patches" slowing the thing down. ;)Quote:

It is not so much the updates and patches it is more of the programs that are installed and uninstalled over time it will slow down the computer.
Are you saying it's better due to experiences you have had with both?Quote:

Just curious as I use R-Studio quite and bit and am open to using other products.
Do you care to offer any info on what might make it "better" (your word)?
Did R-Studio not perform well for you?
For me, R-Studio has been second to none with helping a user recover a deleted file over the network without having to make a trip to their PC.
Thanks,
SGS
