I take great exception to that remark sir, and you being a moderator and all!...............some of my best friends are pigs, hey my brother-in-law Joe even has a pig farm just outside Waterford. Pigs are highly intelligent and very clean (if given the chance) animals ( a pig will not lie in its own excrement if it can avoid doing so.........other farm animals will). How you could possibly equate them with capitalists?............since when have you seen a pig attempt to amass wealth? the only inheritance its offspring get are its genes ( that's biological not sartorial folks :) )
As for Marx and communism......................the concept of "communes" is very old (the French had Les Communards) and totally pre-dates Marx.
The concept is of a society that self-polices, self-supports, and self-protects. Where each gives according to his ability and receives according to his needs. It is based on mutual trust and respect...............aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! now I can see why it does not work in real life!
If you wish to see true "communist" societies that work, look at monastic settlements (all religions, except for some of the later Christian ones, where the Monarch, or local feudal ruler appointed the head of establishment), or look at the Israeli kibbutzes, or some of the high mountain valley societies. The basic problem is one of scale?........if you know everyone, and everyone knows you then there is no temptation to cheat, because you know that you will be caught out?

Nihil I wasnt exactly being serious as such. This site is about as corporate as you can get.
However I have strong views on politics, I am essentially a humanist and see capitalism at heart especially fervant 'free market' capitalism as anti-humanistic despite what some objectivists might tell you.
I just dont like to see communist thrown about like that for no reason, some of my friends being communists and all. I'm not in a party or looking to establish communism or anything, it was more of an off the collar remark.
I also agree there has been no communist states, that makes it worse. U.S. propaghanda has ensured that places like the DPRK and Soviet Union will be known as communist countries when they clearly were not.
Even Cuba which if anybody has bothered to read the history of the Revolution will know that there has been no intention of establishing communism. In fact the main tenet of Cuban society is a radical nationalism based on their Spanish colonial history and subsequent lack of soveriegnity due to dependance on U.S. sugar market. It has always been described as a humanist society.
Anyway.

Now, how many times was Quad banned for THE SAME **** before Rioter got banned for it? How the hell was this fair? Some people liked Rioter more than Quad so it's OK to keep him around but **** Quad because he makes us all so mad right? It was only fair. If you don't think it is, then Quad should have never been banned either.
