This idea of asking Seniors (who have some nasty hit levels) to lay off of negging those where english is a 2nd language or to ask first for clarification would be something that people have to encourage the community to do. Even if he's unbanned (or rather unnegged), what is stopping the community from doing the same thing.. over and over and over again.
If you think that he has be unfairly negged (and AP alliance or targetting), I can look into that and see if there is anything there.
nah i dont think it was anything like that don't bother. i understand. if i would have been around internet access i probably would have seen the problem and been able to stop it, but alas i wasnt. i understand that as well neg, but i figured since this was very recent, (i posted it originally right after the banning, a day or so..) that it might be different. O well, can't win em all ! btw neg what're you doing up so early?

I was very pissed to see what he was banned for and I believe IT IS ANTIPOINT ABUSE to neg because you don't like people who don't speak/write english perfect. Shall i go around negging everyperson who does not phrase their question/statement as i like?. It was pure and simple childish ignorance that got him banned there was NO valid reason.

just went back and looked at his posts and it is because of his grammer he was banned. if i were he i wouldn't want to come back after being treated like that. i can only imagine what the AP messages said. one would think that might be considered abuse

It is an abuse of the antipoints system to neg someone because they are using bad grammer - ENGLISH IS NOT HIS FIRST LANGUAGE!!!!!!
I speak 3 other languages besides English and am thus involved in forums with similar systems as the antipoints system in those languages.......As well as I may speak these languages I know that my grammar is not always right........but I have never incurred abuse because of it..........Is this an occurence stemmed solely from the arrogance of native english speakers?
We all have seen posts from people whose mother tongue is english and the spelling, grammar and punctuation is often so atrocious we don't even bother to try and decypher the whole thing........but we don't neg it - we know that to communicate in such an inane manner one has to be a native of english...............
I am sure it was on antionline that I read a tip of the day from someone about using proper punctuation so your point is more clearly made - or at least some sort of punctuation.......and its the natives of a language who are the worst at it and the first to get away with it.
As for making him create a new ID....that is his ID and it means something to him.
I have been a member of antionline for almost 3 years, I don't post alot - it is a learning tool for me - - -But I would be gutted if I had to change how I am known here or on any other forum.
His English may not be as good as ours but you can bet your asses that his Spanish is........................Give the guy a break - its not like he was starting trouble or being a nuisance.
