it also depends on why they were banned -- look at Nemory's old name -- Memory (i know b/c the profile is the same and he told me)
yet sometimes trolls just keep coming back and it lets ppl keep their balance ;) -- personally i don't care, but i know of some who really kind of get pissy ;)

Cant u also click on an IP and see who all posted from that IP, but since some change that isn't the best way either....
I think its mostly multiple accounts at the same time that is frowned on - not people who have been banned coming back under a new account

Even though Negative probably has many notebooks and Excel spreadsheets to do the parsing, IP addresses don't always make sense when you try to track someone.
For example, if you are on DHCP with your service provider, you may have a different address every time you log on (ok, it's probably going to be in the same block, but still).
And then, there's the users who connect from work, from home, from the road, from Internet cafe's ... they have a whole list of IPs against their name.
BTW, Negative, I just blew up my laptop, so you can scrap that IP address from your list :D

Actually, some persons sort of start off on the "wrong foot", get negged, and so on, then come back.....................I suspect that is true of many forums?..............As far as I can see, there do not seem to be any grudge holders here...........sometimes a "clean slate" is the best way............on the other hand, there are those who "come back" from a couple of red dots.
Now I know that I am already going to be accused of being drunk etc...........well working on it :D anyways, but I shall continue:
Unfortunately, there might be those who see your red dot(s) as an opportunity to "balance" their antipoints..............hence the "new sheet"/"clean slate" advice.
