I didn't suggest that he tag, I said if he hadn't then he'd still have his ports in the default vlan. With the equipment I use, tagging the port immediately removes it from vlan 1.

Well, at least through this Friday (my last day on the job) I run a pretty good sized network. I didn't even touch on the routers we're using. :p My most recent addition and current pride and joy is putting a 6mb IMA connection into a Cisco 3725. It's pretty cool, you inverse multi-plex ATM to aggregate four DS1's into one logical pipe. Those map to a bunch of frame relay DS1's and really keep the cost of our bandwidth down. Fun stuff.Quote:
Starting Monday I'll be doing pure design work. No users calling me up saying they can't get to their hotmail and there must be something wrong with my router. I can't wait. Those are going to be some big networks. The company I'm going to work for recently put 70 racks in one room and trenched fiber to two hundred buildings. I know for a fact that is going to be comparatively small to some of the stuff that will be coming along. Oh.....did I mention no users? Pure design work? That I can't wait? :D
