Vigilantes versus pedophiles

unfortunatelly, if you remove "criminal" rights, you will remove rights from everybody. You cant remove rights only from "bad guys" on this case.
Imagine you, in a internet chat:
someone: "hey, i have a free pirate windows 2003 copy!"
you: "i would have some use to it" (just wondering)

"someone" is a cop and arrest you for illegal usage of software.
Unfair? you were just talking about an hipothesis?

Yeap, it is the same right. If you remove from those bastard, you will remove from yourself.

Im really a Rights defensor because here we just (< 20 years) moved on from a ditadure to a democracy.

believe me. You dont want your Rights removed/restricted.

Of course not, we want to concentrate effort on getting the real bad guys. Real investigations are documented and lengthy. I can give you an example. Hanging out in a chat room soliciting every person popping in isn't a good way to catch real pedophiles. Sure if you bust everyone that comes in and says, "Hi I want to please a 10 year old", might get you one out of 500, not very efficient and your dept. is closed down do to abuses. Most will be other kids or people playing jokes or men and woman acting like kids or some guy in India. You all know chat rooms? Even on AO we don't know if Memory was a man, woman, kid, goat. It's too difficult to tell. This all leads into "guessing" who is going to commit a crime with "documentation" and "evidence" to back it up. If the man/woman is a danger to children it is extremely important to make the allegations stick. Without those items in many cases, like the example 15 year old, at best the guy gets a misdemeanor or plea-bargain, assuming he didn't rape her and they had a mutual understanding of consensual sex. I may sound like I support actions contrary to child safety but I support proper law enforcement by police and not citizens who act on circumstantial assumptions.

Perhaps this places some perspective on it. You are the father of a young cheerleader. The Capt. of the football team takes her out and on returning home, passionately kisses her on the mouth and you see it. Later you post on AO that you are going to kill him. Your fantasy may not even be so violent in nature but the thought of retribution pleases you. By virtue of this vigilante group you are guilty of violence. But you aren't until you commit the act or there is some evidence other than your Internet posting that you have a criminal desire to commit the act and that basis is grounded in some tangible reality.

Fact and fiction. This group goes to far on too little information. That’s all I am saying.
