Actually, Muerto's does remind me of a situation I encountered where I got an odd error and didn't close the error because it closed Ethereal but if I just left the error and set the focus back to ethereal it works fine.... Until you close the error.... which closes ethereal.... Try not closing the error....
Yeah... I know... far from a "professional" fix..... But I wanted it work.... ;)

There's a prerelease of 0.10.6 did you try that since it says the error will be fixed in the next release? http://www.ethereal.com/distribution/prerelease/
