No it wouldn't be sweet, it would be immature.
Anyways, you sure you are the only one using that computer? Actually there's 2 accounts in that computer, yours and the Administrator, which you can access by rebooting in safe mode, provided that you have the right authorization.

Before you shut down, you updated windows and installed the .net framework?

I'm not sure if this would help, but try doing a netstat -a in the command prompt and see if there are any weird connections. If there are google the port number to see if there are any known things like trojans...
I disabled the account on my box when I installed the .NET framework and haven't had any problems. I recommend you do the same.

Yanno, I found some truly helpful stuff in the 'general stuff' posts, including this new XSetup program I just installed...
Somewhere in the middle of playing with it, I came across 'silent accounts' within my winXP - things that exist other than Admin and my personal account - things that handle autoupdates for Winblows and other softwares within your machine. All that being said, I'll tell you about this cool lil bug that springs up inside XP on rare occasion when the 'silent account' is either doing something when you want to shut down, or has otherwise fouled up and left the account active - it shows that infamous 'other people are still logged in' message and makes you most paranoid indeed.
All that fluff to reiterate that anything asp is system. No worries, no huhu. Get that XSetup prog I mentioned - good stuff! X-setup.net is the new web addy (I included this because it wasn't posted in the ((older)) thread I found it on).

Yeah theres no need to worry about that account. Windows has accounts built into it including administrator, guest(usually disabled),help assistant(disabled),SUPPORT_388945a0(disabled), and your personal account. The asp account gets set-up with the framework. If you want to see what accounts are setup on your box right click on "my computer" icon, select manage, and the select "local users and groups"
