Do you really think the "sell the enemy anything as long as it makes me money but cover it up by voting against action even though the only reason I am in power now is because the guys I am stabbing in the back now are the ones that, not once but twice, had to dig my country's sorry ass out of the crap when Germany waltzed in and whooped our butts twice in the last century but I don't care because loyalty and friendship, honor and trust are not words in the French dictionary " Mr. Chirac is the darling of international TV???? He's the quintessential Frenchman without the beret, hooped shirt, bicycle and string of garlic..... Hardly someone the rest of the world are all looking up to......

Hate to say it lads but the main base for your arguments is slightly off. I know that americains are a lot of the time fairly bad in geography but since when has france got a Green white and gold flag? To put it more simply I take as much insult to being called French as I would do being called English or American.
As for my opinion on the French president I have about as much respect for him as I do for Bush. So insult the french all you want I do. Bush on tele comes across as I have already said a war mad spoilt brat. this is the part about him I dislike.

So to put it bluntly in your same style tiger shark why dont you come down of your cowboy hat ,sixgun shot from the hip, rabid texan, I hate anyone that critises the great and perfect institution that is the good ole US of A pedestal which is something I didnt really expect from one of your posts.

Cybr1d As I said "the only FREE forigne aid" as any country or goverement that gives aid is looking for some positive political gain and thus the aid is not really free. Also show me a link that proves WMD were found in Iraq or proof that Saddam was running such a program up to the time of the invasion and I will stand corrected.

I think we've had enough threads about this particular topic...dig those up. I'm not going to repeat myself over and over and over....and again you would much rather believe that Saddam Did not have weapons, rather than him having those weapons moved out of the country...A mistake that will be paid by more innocent lives.

Its funny though...it really is...because when you talk to a soldier coming from Iraq, many of them say they've seen Chemical weapons in Depos and Warehouses...

As for my rabid support of Bush..... Why the hell not..... I couldn't stand Blair until the Iraq issue came up.... I found myself stunned that a politician, (a Labor politician at that), could possibly take an unpopular stance and actually stick to it through thick and thin..... But he did, and by doing so earned my respect, because I respect people who do the right thing for the right reasons despite opposition. Bush is the same..... God help us if we had had Gore in charge on 9/11/01.... You can still see the Clinton puppet strings today.... We'd have sent a cruise missile or two at an asprin factory and gone back to *******s in the oval office...

Furthermore..... when did being a great leader mean that you had to be good on TV? Jeez, how shallow have we become?..... Your greatness comes from your movie star image rather than your substance? In that case Sir Winston would never have done what he did because Neville looked better waving a piece of meaningless paper then Winnie would have done.... Not to mention the fact that the TV producers can make you look however they want you to look..... and the sheep of this world look on in awe...... :rolleyes:

Nihil We tend to say Green white and gold It has a better ring to it. Other than that you are right about what it signifies and hopefully someday it will no longer just be a symbol.

I showed some links in my previous post....do you stand corrected?

I don't think you will stand corrected for the simple reason that you're so overconsumed by the hate againts Bush that if they were to find a Nuke tomorrow, you'd blindly believe those who say the US put it there, rather than Saddam getting caught with it.

Now me, I'm about as apolitical as they come, preferring instead to complain about whomever's in office and the candidate who opposes them both. We today live in a society where getting votes means more than contributing to the common good, and where lies run rampant in the political arena. I honestly feel for our country, for it's a disease that's infected us.

Yeah, I have to totally agree with you, politics suck.

That's why, one day, I'm running for President on the slogan of: "Vote James because he rocks!"

Seriously though, he's gotta a point. Sometimes we get too riled up over the politics. But I thin back to the initial point, Bush really hasn't been ridiculed anymore than anyone else, contrary to what Er0k has perceived. Take Clinton for instance -- it wasn't stupidity, but it sure was sexuality. I can't count all the Clinton sex jokes I've heard on SNL. Every prez has something that everyone's going to capitalize on, no matter which side of the line they're on.

Frankly, I think things like Bush falling off a bike and showing up in PJs is pretty frickin' awesome. That just goes to show that clutzes like myself do have hope for success in the world after all. :D
