JP is an ******* and so is his boyfreind. He makes kevin mitnic seem humble. Yea he came up with this site so i gota give him akudo's for that but personality wise he could use some work. And before anybody passes judment about him being the "greatest hacker in the world" please realise one thing. There are more people out there slaming JP than praising him.

I cannot say if JP is a "great" hacker or not. All I know he made AntiOnline what it was and made it popular. I learned a lot from it, and it did not matter to me if he was the best hacker or the worst hacker in the world.
I have not seen him on IRC in a while, since yoursincyberspace.com seems to be down a lot. The many times I have talked to him, he is not the nicest guy in the world. However, Brad tends to be more laid back and friendly.... well to me anyway.
What really bothers me is people sucking JP's ass and buying into what the media says. Yes, there are many people that do not care for JP, but I think he can care less.
Like I said in the my first post I have not ever spoken with him so I do not know his personality but this site took alot of work and time. I am not sure of his hacking ability but obviously the book I was reading seems to think so. And although I know you can't believe everything you read it seems that he has alot of notoriety in this field. I am sorry if I ruffled any feathers. The intent of this thread was simply to give credit to where credit is do. He started these forums and I am extremely thankful. These forums are the perfect fix for when you are getting bored with computers it makes you strive to learn more.

I just reread your post and saw this.
I am not sure if you were trying to insult me or not but if you are I would like to let you know that in any area of competition in where you want to be the best you need to give credit to those before you. Obviously JP did something right to be mentioned in the book. I would feel honored if someone was to put my name in a book next to the words "most famous hacker" that is all I was saying. I give credit where it is due. If you name was in a book and said something like that I would give you props just like JP because it is a very nice accomplishment.Quote:

If I may make a quickie point from observation --
Who among the hacking community is "nice" for that matter? I think most of us can concur that guys like JP are respected for their professional skills, not their charming personalities. From what I've seen thus far, the hacker culture is generally antisocial and anything but friendly -- but they're darn good at what they do, and that's what we're concerned with here.
