GAY Man:
Marry another Man = Illegal
Marry a Woman = Legal

Straight Man:
Marry another Man = Illegal
Marry a Woman = Legal

You see......The rights are the same under the law, in which marriage is described as a union between a man and a woman. The courts said the law was unconstitutional, so the states are forced to amend their constitutions until the Court's again rule that their constitutinal ammendmendment is unconstitutional, which will force an ammendment to the U.S. constitution, protecting the sanctity of marriage.

This is not an equal rights issue because the "right" of same sex marriage has never existed. You can't cry equal rights when the gay man's rights are the same as mine. Once again this is a moral acceptance issue.

No I think you missed the point.
If you marry (as a man) a woman in america you get certain rights regarding (like said before) buying houses and inheritance.
However, if you choose to spend the rest of your live with a hman of the same sex, you do NOT have these same rights.
You take care of someone 'through good and through bad' and 'tiill deatch does part' but you aint got the same 'rights/priviliges'. (mostly involving money)
I agree that a 'marriage' should be between a man and a woman but tax-laws should be separated from this process

Wars are a fact of life, (or death depending upon which side of the argument you are on). It is plain common sense to beat the living **** out of someone before they are too strong for you to be able to when they clearly have designs on kicking your ass when they can..... Anything else is plain frigging stupidity.

In a country that prides itself on religious freedom as a result of it's very inception I have a _very_ difficult time, (especially bearing in mind I am an athiest), understanding how such _clearly_ religious issues as abortion, gay rights and suicide could possibly be allowed to be legislated.....

Abortion

Unless you are the father of the fetus you have no right whatsoever to try to pressure any pregnant female into any course of action that she doesn't freely choose of her own volition. What this means is that unless _you_ are daddy, STFU!!!!! How hard is that????? What is it with you busybodies that have to stick your stupid noses into other people's business???? They aren't doing you any harm..... for fux sake you don't even know them.... bug off!!!!

Now why are you deliberately trying to piss off the religious people???? C'mon... if you can get the same rights as a "married" couple what's the problem????

How about when the woman was raped at 15 years old ?
Offcourse it should be her decision but if she decides not to have that baby I feel she has the right to a decent treatment.
Plus (like also said before) you cannot make it go away by making it illegal, try a more structural aproach

Props to you for this explanation, I wish more people thought like you. I completely agree... under law, we all have the same rights... its not like straight people have an advantage of some sort...

Firstly, that wasn't an attack on you personally... read what was written.... It was quite clear and "well balanced"

Secondly.... If the girl was raped she should have the right to treatment, (maybe, in a proven rape case where the "father" goes to prison), to a free abortion. If you get preggers on your own then you carry the cost.... The point is "the freedom of choice"...

Lastly, I don't give a rats ass if you are gay, bisexual, homosexual or asexual.... they are all nothing to do with religion... Your sexual preference may be disliked by different religions but it only demonstrates how closed minded the religions are.... yet they harbor the same people in the most respected corners of their faith, and then protect them????? <LOL>
