the_Jinx told him to buy the game, which would normally indicate his disapproval of what the guy was trying to do. Also, someone else had already mentioned that warez was frowned upon here. As well as that, he said "...led me to believe...". That phrase would generally say to me that he wasn't definitely sure about whether or not the guy was attempting to pirate a game. And lastly, as soon as the guy admitted that he was trying to illegally play the game, the_Jinx explained to him what he thought of people pirating software, and what the possible result of his actions could be.
I really don't understand what you think he did wrong. Is "If you can't afford it, don't pirate it" not enough? Does he have to actually say: "Warez are not discussed on this forum...We will not help you!"?
AFAIK, it is up to the individual whether or not they want to share knowledge; it is not on any one here's conscience if ViralxX want to pirate games. It is quite possible to simply ignore that fact and help someone with the technical issue at hand in an attempt to teach someone something. And even that is not an issue here because the_Jinx did actually stop sharing his information as soon as the facts were clarified.

I did not mean to come off as an *******. I just wanted an answer.
Anyways the chances of ending up in a JAIL CELL for pirating a game is extremely unlikely. I will ask another forum if you guys do not support piracy or filesharing. Sorry for the disturbance....
