I hope this helps, otherwise, I do not think there should be a problem with upgrading to SP2 if you are on a portuguese platform.

Im from Portugal, so, the SP2 in Portuguese that iv found is .BR (Brazilian), that its Portuguese of course, but its alot diferent in Pronounce etc etc..should it be a problem??
Also, i went to the Windows Update site and i cannot find SP2 :(, why is that? i just cannot, ther“s nothing there :\

i don't think can be any problem accept for language, but to be on safe side u can update just one machine with rollback enabled , see if it works.
also for windowsupdate site , see if u have v4 in start or url in address, if it is change that to v5 and reload. hope this is cause of problem.

Have you tried to map to that network drive??
It usually works for me when all else fails in a small network.
Just right click on my network places, click "map network drive",
then "browse"
You should see your father's computer name and just as long as you have the drives shared
map directly to that drive.
Then when you go to "my computer" Your father's drive will be on there (the same drive letter that you assigned when you mapped it)
