I sent an invite to my yahoo account, and it ended up in the bulk folder.
there you have it . is that enough proof that yahoo and hotmail are actually ( if not blocking) gmail invites
by the way
they might also see the newletters that are given out by google ( you new google news) which also end with @google.com ( [email protected] ) as spam and filtered them
