Satellites Survellaince and Seismic sensors plays a huge part IMHO................India conduceted those tests underground blasting two sub-kiloton nuclear device..............so there was no mushroom cloud..

If you would follow the buildup to those test by India they had given clear Indication of their intent of doing it ......................and because they had teasted a similar device in 1974 at the same spot..............so these likely places are kept a eye on..................When one is likely to do it like Iran and North Koria you do increase survalance of those particular countries.

If one has seen the picture of Indian test site they had erected a dummy village at the spot to fool Satellites Survellaince..............and they did it quite well :o

I belive if North Koria Tests a Nuclear device USA and NATO will know about it ..

Yes ............They have to if not there are other reagional players in it too Russia , China, India, Japan......who also have their survalance and stake in it........... USA is not the only one........it's sure gonna come out one way or the other .

imo....absolutly. what could be better for all of our governments' interests than to have the general population of the world upset and scared by North Korea. does anyone in power in the west want us to think fondly of NK? if any action needs to be taken against NK, sanctions or otherwise, it would be much easier to pull off if the majority of the people are behind it.

Given the world reaction to Iraq and the intel leading up to... they may be confirming (with due certainty) which marbles are on the playing field. OR as stated by Colin Powell, the North Koreans are telling the truth about using normal ordinance to blow a way for a hydro electric dam.
