I'll hand it to ya JP, your more recent posts have been considerably more engaging and sensible, I'm glad to see that.
Iron, that's speculation at best. From a secular perspective, there's no way of knowing whether some of the prophecies were written beforehand or after, precisely anyway. Unless you know someone who's in touch with the original publishers. ;) It would be an especially hard case to make that they were all written after-the-fact.
Ah, apologetics is always a fun exercise. :D
Tiger Shark >> i believe, but i am not sure, that JP meant by people that "Like" bush are idiots, is that people that agree to his policy, and would do the same **** he does if they were in office. Not if they liked him over someone else :)
Well, sign me up for idiocy then. :D *puts on dunce cap*
To get back on topic: although JP puts it rather bluntly, he does have a point. Most prophecies in the bible are so vaguely written that they can be applied to almost anything, at anytime. Besides that, it wouldn't suprise me if they were written after the fact. And, if that is the case, it seems like the author was vague and mysterious on purpose. Maybe that has something to do with how his (potential) followers, friends, or peers handled such stories.
In its own time, the christian bible (like most ancient religious books) might have been a serious work of science, philosophy, and sociology, it is seriously outdated now IMO, and I don't understand why people keep trying to relate to it and apply it to their life or world-affairs.
Just my oppinion.
