I think the opensource development model will be efficient in keeping the security in firefox as tight as possible..
With patches available in days (sometimes even hours) instead of months after an exploitability gets public..
If not it has a good testcase for the opensource community and can be seen as a 'learning moment' to better future opensource projects..

Firefox/Thunderbird are a great combo and I love the plug capability...if only I were smart enough to make one worth a shite...
