This is done. Notice the new link under the overall AP status line at the top of the page.
I will be adding a link to display the APs assigned to a thread, in order to provide some accountability for this function.

HTRegz: While reading your post I agreed with you with the exception of one thing -- If you can neg a thread by itself without negging a user, and you see that the thread is THAT bad of a thread that it needs to be reported, chances are it'll be negged into suicide anyways. By the time it get's to the mod's/admin's, it will have been negged into suicide via the self-moderation system of AntiPoints and the new (hopefully) feature of being able to neg the thread itself instead of a user.
I'm sorry if it's coming across that I'm putting down your idea. I just think it wouldn't be necessary.
In a lot of cases it isn't necessary.. but it's a feature that would be quite simple to implement in the existing system and would add to the overall functionality of the site... In cases like JPs thread... there was no post that needed to be reported... it was the thread itself that was bad and should have been reported.. It was extremely positive after several of the heavy hitters around here negged the hell out of it... and it wasn't going to change... That's a prime example of where the report this thread button should be located... Besides we're always told to report the thread if we have problems with it... at least this way that would be an option...
Peace,
HT
Hmm, nice feature... now another reason for more complaining.
Bleh, I didn't neg anyone in it. That's probably why, that and alot of other reasons I don't feel like mentioning.
 @ how fast you get things done around here mnstrgrl, kudo's to you. I like the new feature by the by, it'll work to the benefit of AO IMO and I especially like seeing who negged the threads overall status. Will help to determine possible "thread killers" or something of that nature. Plus like mentioned, accountability. :)Quote:

HT > For now, I suggest that people just report the first post in a thread that needs reporting. You have the option to provide a Reason for the report, and you can always specify that it's the thread rather than the particular post that needs reporting.
If the need really is there and mnstrgrl really feels like it, maybe a Report This Thread button can be added.
mnstrgirl:
Not being critical or anything but the cut and paste is a tad too obvious when you leave in the "Last 10 AntiPoints you have received" at the top of the page.... ;)
[Edit]
Damn Girl.... that's what I call service... I saw the "error" posted, went back to make sure I had the wording just right and "Bang" it had changed..... ;)
[/Edit]
Will assigning positive/negative points to a thread affect the 'user tends to assign' bar? I'm assuming it will?
Mel: You think too much..... and that isn't a criticism.. ;)
It's a good question though.... If you go around negging the clearly stupid threads and don't really get into the personal AP's then you could find yourself with the old, "you have to balance" messages... That could be an issue....
Yes, thread assignments will factor into your "tend to assign" total. I thought we removed the balance message though, is that not the case?

mnstrgrl:
I don't know.... I'm a balanced kind of chap... So I don't see it... I saw it when I first joined but only once.... If you say it went it probably did....
Personal question: What does the "mnstr" stand for in mnstrgrl? I have a total mental block on what it means past "MonsterGirl"..... That just has to be wrong.... Help me... ;)
