My rant?
I can't do (for a living) the ONE thing I want to do more than anything in the world. At least not for another year. Makes me sad. :(
Oh, and it took some shadey-assed "mechanic" two weeks to fix our new Audi...and the work wasn't covered by the warranty.

Ok ok... my rant for the day: PLAYDOUGH. That stuff should be illegal (at least the kind that seems to turn into what looks like colored mud, but is way harder to clean off... kinda like liquid wax). Spent 40 minutes cleaning this morning... that's time Playdough took away from time I could have spent on making cool things for my wife or something. Illegalize it!!!
Why are you letting Negative play with playdough mathgirl? Don't you know better than that by now? ;)

Angelic, yes, and we try to put sharp objects up high out of his reach. This is difficult because he's pretty tall.

Now on to the rant:
I cannot believe that on God's green earth there are still stupid ****nuts who beat their wives. I am currently giving shelter and solace to a young woman who fell victim to such an attack 2 nights ago. After taking her to the Emergency room, filing the necessary police reports, contacting the local women's shelter for assistance, etc, we get an emergency protective order placed upon this complete ******* (good for 31 days) and he is jailed for the domestic assault. We were informed by the investigating/arresting officer that he would remained jailed for a minimum of 24 hours to permit this young lady to retrieve her belongings from their residence, and that the protective order prohibited him from returning to that residence while it was in force, btw it also protects her from him coming to her work, her children's schools and daycares respectively, or within 100 feet of her person.
Now, at his hearing, he was read this protective order, asked if he understood it, signed the bloody thing, and was given a copy when he made bond.
Within 1 hour of his release from jail yesterday (about 8 hours after his arrest), he violated this protective order 3 different times - by returning to her residence, then by *calling her* from there, then by leaving a threatening note where she would find it. The police were dispatched to her house after he called, and he was again arrested. I'm quite curious if the judge will release him again, and if he'll be stupid enough to try that again. In the interim she and her children remain safe.
People like this should be taken out, maimed, and left to die in the street, their rotting corpses providing a nice meal to whatever rat happens by.
That's my bitch for today.
Ok. To add to the thread:
Dell (this is for my ex's mom)
My ex's mom knows nothing about computers. Her motherboard died on her and I suggested she call Dell because they bought an ub3r l337 support plan with thier Dell. When she called she went through the usual automated phone thing and then was connected to "Bob" in India. Bob then proceeded (for the next 2 hours) to walk her through taking apart the entire computer down to the motherboard. (None of this helped as it was a dead motherboard) Finally, Bob gave up in India and they send out someone to her house. This person swaps the motherboard for a different motherboard and then tells her to stick in the support disks that came with the computer. She did that and it reinstalled the OS. (And deleted all of her files) She was lucky that I had made a backup before that guy had come over. Dells support is evil and outsourced to India. So this is my rant for now..

Here's another one....IT says no strollers on escalators for a good reason you ****ing idiot!!! SO that all the **** from the stroller doesn't go flying all over the place and you dont lose your grip and have your baby roll all the way down the escalator and get hurt!!!! I see this woman coming up the escalator with a stroller, and the poor kid is in the most unconfortable position he could be....literally standing up with his feet touching the ground, and the stroller attached to his ass. All the toys and **** that was on the stroller was flying down the escalator. To make it even worse, she did it again while going down the escalator. Now this is right in front of MACY'S which has 2 elevators near the door.....
