Well,
As a general comment, I would say that our languages are too far apart for a direct translation?Quote:

For 32 years of my life I have lived in a very multicultural/multireligious/multinational environment.......I guess you learn to live and let live ;)
I have just gone and fetched it from amongst my large collection of religious books.......it is the holy "QUR-AN" with a - over the top of the "A"
It is a Saudi published English/Arabic version..............courtesy of King Saud :)
I have seen other versions that say "Koran" (probably a "sounds like"?) or Qu'ran.............
just a thought :D
I've seen it spelled both ways, think it depends more or less on the author and the author's native toungue. Regardless, the spelling of one word of a statement does little to change the meaning. I also want to make clear that I was ONLY referring to the radical/fundamentalist (ie, Wahhabis ? SP?) sects of Islam. I see them in the same light as the similar Christian groups that rained terror back through the middle ages (Spanish Inquisition anyone?). These fundamentalists are twisting and bending their religion to justify their actions and trying to force others, by fear, intimidation, and death, to follow their beliefs.Quote:

They'd better not be, they swore an oath of allegiance on becoming citizens. <- blackice in reference to muslims.
Im a natural born american citizen, and ive never sworn an oath of allegiance..
your rhetoric implies that you believe there are no natural born american citizens who are muslim. Therefore you at the very least subconciously believe that muslims simply come to america after they are born in some other country, therefore you are bigoted, at the very least, subconciously.
pro kerry = pro terrosist (i got that from a commercial) pro bush = pro attacks... but if you are pro terrorist then aren't you also pro attacks??
"pro bush = pro attacks"
what does this mean? and ive never heard anyone say they think kerry is 'PRO' terrorist. i dont know what tv stations your watching. ive heard it said that kerry would be the terrorist's pick, but thats not the same. personally i just don't think kerrys equipped to handle terrorism but i would argue with anyone that ever said he's for terrorism.
