Of course, its their job to dull things down to not only cut costs but to make sure that what they have is better than what 90% of the population has. While some people of the up and up are riding around in a bullet proof limo or some equivelent of tank... everyone else is inside a piece of crap that could get crushed or knocked across the road as if it where as light as air. The goverment constantly waters things down before public release. This is only a small portion of how the man controls you.
