im getting when i try to access the forums


mySQL error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11)

but was getting to them fine this morning

I can connect to the server just fine, but the forum is returning the error the Tedob1 posted above.

Odd. I was able to connect to it this morning. I have suspicions that someone is hitting them, probably because either the person was banned or because registration was closed.

same here (again), this morning everything was fine, now the forums are offline again... all the other links on the site seem to work tho.....

today i tried to enter there, but it gave sql errors...
i wonder what's happening to GSO nowadays...

I have been getting there fine till a few days ago, now I dont even get errors. Seems they took the site offline, hopefully to fix the bugs with the new board. They upgraded recently, so I think that was part of the problem.

Telnetting to 80 gave me a message that:

"governmentsecurity.org is in the middle of moving the server"
"Quit bugging me so I can get it done"

Strange because I was able to get there in a browser (site and forum) a few minutes ago. Oh well, now I can't.

the way i see it GSO is one guy (Blake Wiedman) in Matawan NJ running a site from a server located on a server in Germany (registered to, but it keeps moving). maybe he doesn't have the help JP did but still he's doing a bang-up job. look at all the problems packetstorm had!

i know nobody is balming the owner, but i just wanted to point that out.

The main problem is many problems.

Been speaking to w00dy about server issues, and a couple of them were just due to the server needed to be rebooted (the mySQL errors) and also because majority of the staff were on holidays, and only a couple were still there

but it seems to be up now so im happy
