I will pull you on that one.............just because you do not believe does not affect "proper noun" status.................might I refer you to "Santa Claus" and the "Tooth Fairy"............"Shangri La" and so on. Roman, Greek and Indian deities are also capitalised because they are proper NAMES?Quote:

It is nothing to do with religious beliefs; more the structure of the language you are using. As an example, look at capitalisation in the German language.....................it is somewhat different from English.
