Having to reboot once in a while is the price you pay for knowing that all your hardware is supported, and so on.
Hmmm, so what about Sparc stations? What about a Sunfire server? I'm quite sure those are supported and I don't think ever rebooted. And what about Alphas?
Think outside the box. Pun intended.

Since the discussion has focused on Windows....
I don't see any SPARCS or Alphas coming into play here. And we're not just talking about servers here. The complete deployment was brought up. Solaris for x86 simply deos not have the hardware support that Windows does. I ****ing wish it did.
EDIT: I just woke up, if this makes no sense, that's why. I'll fix it later.

NT won't run on ANYTHING but x86 huh? What about the Ports Microsoft made? May not be in use as heavy but it still shows Windows isn't just x86, and Hardware isn't just for Windows.

No **** NT was ported.
But IIRC it is no longer supported by MS.
And of course hardware isn't just for Windows. But you of all people should realize that the mainstream PC market is still dominated by, and designed for Windows. We're not talking SPARC stations, I'm talking standard PCs found in most corporate LANs.
I am done with this little pissing match. Go stroke your ego by yourself.
